Where are we?

Varied context

As a Secular Institute we live our total consecration to God through the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in a lay lifestyle. Without external signs which might distinguish us, we share the life common to all also through assignments and professions in a large variety of fields and contexts in the multi-ethnical societies of our times, wishing to transform from the inside every reality, particularly that of migration, into an experience of encounter, acceptance and celebration of diversity.
This transformation we hope to bring about – with our life testimony and through proclaiming the Gospel – every reality, particularly that of migration, in an experience of encounter, acceptance and celebration of every diversity.

 Towards new boundaries

Migration itself has always led us to new boundaries: from a presence among Italian migrants in Europe to the internal and irregular migrants from Latin America in Brazil; from the Turkish migrants in Germany to the migrants from outside Europe in Italy, to the asylum seekers and refugees from all continents in Switzerland and Germany; from the Portuguese migrants, sold to the more and more mobile and precarious European job market, to the many rejected migrants at the border with the US who live the traumatic experience of repatriation in Mexico City.
Also, we are more and more present among the refugees who are fleeing from the conflicts in the Middle East and the African continent, landing on the coasts of the Mediterranean in an attempt to reach Switzerland, Germany and other countries.
